This 9,000 sq. ft. home, with another 6,000 sq. ft. of outbuildings set on 2.5 acres, was designed for the needs of a young, active family.Touch panels and iPads were installed to show real-time status of all home systems on a floor plan view of the home. Among the features controlled are: 17 zones of music (including two outdoor 70v audio zones), 7 video zones and three 5.1 media systems, 96 security zones (including door lock status), 12 cameras (with touch panels and video displays to allow quick view of the large property including stables), 139 lighting loads, 42 shades, 13 HVAC zones, gates, fireplaces, a motorized window, hot tub and pool. Eight video sources were distributed by the Digital Media matrix delivering full 1080p video to all displays over a copper and fibre infrastructure.Also included, was a robust home network configured with multiple VLANs for fast and secure Internet and unimpeded home network communications. The result: fast, reliable, and conflict-free communication.
